And here we are in April, 2023. It's the beginning of a new tax year, the second month of spring and time to introduce you to our next employee spotlight.

Everybody meet our Accountant, James Hobbs.

  1. James, how long have you worked at Berwick Care? This time from October 2020 as employed, prior to that approx. 6 months casual work in the warehouse, 7 years working for another company, 5 years here - this does not add up!!
  2. What does your job entail? Bookkeeping mainly - preparing figures, credit control (when Donna isn't in) etc
  3. What do you like most about your job? Getting the work done and when it's completed everything balances perfectly. 
  4. What do you like to do when you aren't working? Don't ask at the moment - my time is taken up with a house extension! However I still enjoy my trade of cabinet making.
  5. What is a fun fact about you that many people may not know? I like to work away out of sight!
  6. Name one skill you would absolutely love to learn. Too late in life for that. 
  7. Where is your favourite place in the world? Home!
  8. What is your motto or personal mantra? Keep small, out of the spotlight, keep out of trouble!
  9. Three words that best describe you: Quiet, out of sight, always willing to help.
  10. What is the one thing you can't live without? My private life with our own company.
